Residential VPN Questions

Are your Residential IP's Authentic/Real

Yes.  We have contracts with LLC ISP’s which allow us to advertise Residential Broadband IP’s on our network.  We offer two types of IP – Business Residential and Rotating/Sticky.   Rotating and Sticky IP’s are actual home Cable/DSL IP’s.

Static Residential IP’s

How many Residential IP's are included in your VPN/SOCKS Plans

Static IP

We allocated a pool of IP’s to each client upon registration.  The Static IP Pool can be anywhere from 50-100 IP per month.  These IP’s stick with you for the duration of your contract.  You have the choice to update the IP in the dashboard to a fresh unused IP up to 20 times per month.

It all depends on stock and demand.  If we are low,  there is a change you may pull the same IP twice,  that means your pool allocation is low.


Rotating IP

Rotating IP’s are routed to actual home user devices,  as such, the pool is much bigger.  We estimate around 5M USA IP’s and 20M globally in the rotating IP pool.  These IP’s auto rotate,  you will likely never pull the same IP twice.


All plans include exclusive access to both VPN and SOCKS Proxies!

How many devices can I connect at the same time

For the VPN, you can connect up to 3 devices simultaneously per slot.  What this means is, each slot you order, you will be given a unique VPN Username/Password,  for each of these users/slots you can connect 3 devices at the same time.  Each device will share the same IP.  If you’d like to connect multiple devices at the same time with different IP,  you will need to order multiple slots.


For the SOCKS Proxies, you can authenticate up to 5 IP’s.  This means all 5 IP will have access to all slots and can connect at the same time.  Each slot will provide a unique Port so you can access to multiple IP’s at the same time.

How many Static IP's can I buy

We provide a pool of IP’s in which you can choose from.   Each pool contains thousands (static) to millions (rotating) of IP.  Each slot you purchased, you will be allowed to configure one IP from the pool of options available based on your package.


You can order multiple slots and configure them all under one account.  Each slot will give you the ability to configure a different unique IP which can be used across multiple devices at the same time.


Upon checkout, you will be given the option to choose the number of slots for your order. Multi slot packages discounts are factored into the price.

How do I active my Residential VPN Service

Our VPN provisioning system is fully automated.  Once payment is made, you will receive a setup instructions email to get you up and running in minutes.  The whole process takes up to 5 minutes.

Are your Residential IP's Virgin/Clean so they don't get flagged as ``suspicious``

If someone promises you Virgin Residential IP’s, there is a good change they are lying to you!   IP blocks are re-allocated over time,  there is a good chance the IP’s were used by another user.   IPv4 is a commodity,  there is simply not enough IP space to go around unused.   That being said,  our IP’s are tested scraped on blacklists before we deploy them into our network to ensure you are getting top quality IP’s with getipIntel score 0.

Do your Residential IP's work for Survey Sites

We cannot guarantee our IP’s will work for every site,  we can tell you is there is a good chance of them working on the most popular medium to high security sites such as Swagbucks, Lifepoints and CINT panels.    Your best option is to use the Mobile IP which is included with the Premium VPN Package.

How do I setup the VPN / Proxies

You will receive an email with step by step setup instructions once you complete your order.  We use OpenVPN Connect Client to connect with our VPN network.  The steps are all outlined in the email,  alternatively, you can follow the setup guides in our knowledge-base located here.

How long does it take to setup ?

Smart DNS plans come with a Guaranteed 7 day no-hassle refund policy.  If you are not satisfied with our service, submit a ticket and our sales staff will refund your payment within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, due to the exclusivity of our Residential IP’s,  VPN packages are non-refundable.
